Designs on Wood
by John England
John England's hand-painted tables and
mirrors are all one-of-a-kind original art works created
by the artist using techniques developed from years of expertise
and creativity.
|
 |
All
pieces are constructed from clear pine, poplar, or douglas
fir, depending on which wood is the best quality available. |
| Frames
are doweled at the corners and trim pieces are glued and
nailed/screwed together. Some of his art pieces incorporate
natural stones. Some designs and colors are created from
old Indian rugs, blankets, pottery pieces, belts, headbands,
etc. Other designs are original to the artist but stay within
the geometric shapes and colors found in the Native American
Designs. |
